/ The Project

Conversations on a Bus is a photo essay art project that celebrates community by inviting Omaha Metro passengers to share their stories via portraits and interviews. Each individual’s story will be woven together with the others to illuminate where and how our lives intersect.

It is designed to bring awareness to the depth and beauty of the world around us, happening as subtly as a passenger sitting beside us on a bus.

Follow us on our journey, as we ride Omaha’s Metro Bus System for a month, and document the faces and stories we encounter.  Then join us on September 7th for our gallery opening and after party, or view the exhibit at one of the future galleries.

Conversations on a Bus is produced by Hooton Images with the support of Omaha Creative Insititue, the Nebraska Humanities Council, and the Nebraska Arts Council.
